Medicine Hat, AB — The Medicine Hat Tigers are happy to announce the signing of 2019 Bantam Draft pick Oren Shtrom to a Standard WHL Player Agreement.

“Oren is an intelligent, crafty forward with great vision and poise. He is creative with the puck and has the ability to find open teammates for scoring chances, as well as, be a threat to score himself,” said Bobby Fox, Director of Player Personnel.

Shtrom was drafted by the Tigers in the 3rd round 57th overall. The 14-year-old Gilbert, Arizona native suited up for the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes Bantam AAA team in the Tier 1 Elite Major Bantam league. He picked up 14 points (3G, 11A) in 12 games played.

“We are really excited about Oren signing with us, he is a very talented young man and we think he has a great future,” said Willie Desjardins, General Manager and Head Coach. “We welcome Oren and his family to the Tigers organization.”
