McCutcheon Signs with Hurricanes

Lethbridge Hurricanes

Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club have signed defenseman Logan McCutcheon to a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.

McCutcheon, 15, was drafted by the Hurricanes in the third round (60th overall) in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft. The 2004-born rearguard from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan played the 2018-2019 season with the Saskatoon Maniacs Bantam AA in the SBAAHL. In 31 regular season games with the Maniacs, McCutcheon tallied 59 points (13g-46a) along with eight penalty minutes while adding four points (2g-2a) and two penalty minutes in three post-season games.

The 5’7”, 125-pound defenseman tallied 82 points (16g-66a) along with 14 penalty minutes in 62 games in the SBAAHL over seasons split with the Maniacs and the Saskatoon Outlaws. McCutcheon also appeared in three games with the Saskatoon Contacts of the Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League last season recording two penalty minutes.

The Hurricanes will begin the 2019-2020 regular season on Friday, September 20th when they welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers at the ENMAX Centre. Season Tickets for the 2019-20 regular season are available for purchase by calling 403-329-SEAT (7328) or by visiting the ENMAX Centre Ticket Centre.
