The Portland Winterhawks are pleased to announce the signing of prospect Kishaun Gervais. The Winterhawks drafted the 16-year-old forward from Yorkton, Saskatchewan in the ninth round of the 2016 WHL Bantam Draft.

Gervais skated in the SMHL with the Prince Albert Mintos for the 2017-18 season, finishing second on the team with 20 goals to go along with his 29 assists in 46 games.

“We’re really pleased with the progress Kishaun is making,” Winterhawks Vice President, General Manager and Head Coach Mike Johnston said. “We’re excited to have him in our system and look forward to tracking his development.”

The 5’7” skater will be reassigned to the Yorkton Terriers for the 2018-19 season, his junior-A club in Saskatchewan.

The Winterhawks begin their 2018-19 home schedule on September 29th against the Seattle Thunderbirds at the Moda Center. Individual tickets are now on sale. Be sure to visit winterhawks.com/tickets for full details on pricing and availability.
