Marek Pocherewny named AMBHL WHL Prospect Of The Month

Calgary AB- The Western Hockey League is proud to announce the AMBHL WHL Prospect of the Month Award, presented to the most outstanding player in the Alberta Major Bantam Hockey League (AMBHL) each month during the 2017-18 season.

The Prospect Of The Month for the month of February is awarded to Marek Pocherewny of the Calgary Bisons.

During the month of February, Pocherewny posted a 3-0-1 record, totaling a 0.957 save percentage and a 1.25 goals against average to finish the regular season on top of the of AMBHL standings.

Pocherewny showcased a highlight performance, Wednesday February 14th against the Calgary Royals where he stopped 38 of 40 shots to help pencil in the Bison’s 28th win of the season.

Reviewing Pocherewny’s 2017/18 season, he stood alone with a perfect 15-0-3 record, and lead all goalies in categories with; six shutouts, a .953 save percentage, and a GAA of 1.06.

As a veteran player of the AMBHL, Pocherewny now has his sights set on the upcoming WHL Bantam Draft May 3rd in Red Deer, AB.
