KIBIHT celebrates 50th anniversary Jan 3rd-7th


Kamloops, BC – The city of Kamloops is set to host its 50th anniversary KIBIHT weekend January 3rd-7th. A total of 28 teams, split between two divisions, will make their way to Kamloops to play and compete in one of Western Canada’s premier bantam tournaments.

Recognizing the Randy Lindros Division, a total of twelve teams will look to battle in the tournaments top Tier one (AAA) division. Three pools will be compromised with a total four teams, guaranteeing each team a minimum of five games.

Pool A will include the Chilliwack Jr. Bruins, Prince George Jr. Cougars, South Zone Knights, and Victoria Racquet Club.

Pool B highlights the Calgary Northstar Sabers, North Vancouver Storm, North Zone Kings, and West Vancouver Warriors.

Pool C will feature the Abbotsford Hawks, Balgonie Prairie Storm, North Shore Winter Club, and Thompson Blazers.

The tournament will will feature an awards night scheduled January 6th while the Kamloops Blazers take on the Victoria Royals at 7pm. The tournaments opening ceremonies will take place January 3rd, commencing at 5:30pm at the McArthur Island Sports Center.
