Calgary, Alta. – Carson Burkart and Liam Bechthold have been named the AMBHL WHL Prospect of the Month for November. The goaltending tandem of the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers posted a combined .955 save percentage, a 1.00 GAA and each recorded a shutout. The pair didn’t lose a game in the month of November winning three games and tying two.
Burkart played in three games for the Rangers picking up two wins and a tie. He stopped 57 of the 60 shots he faced, had a .950 save percentage and a 1.00 GAA in November. On the season Burkart has a 6-1-1 record with a .922 save percentage, a 1.50 GAA and two shutouts.
Bechthold appeared in two games getting a win and a tie. He stopped 51 of the 53 shots he faced, had a .962 save percentage a 1.00 GAA and picked up a shutout against Sherwood Park. This season Bechthold has a 4-1-1 record, a .929 save percentage, a 1.50 GAA and two shutouts.
The tandem has been stellar and currently lead the AMBHL in shutouts and goals against average helping propel the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers to 2nd in the Charger North division. The Rangers only trail the Lloydminster Fountain Tire Bobcats by two points with a game in hand. The Rangers start December with a double header against Grande Prairie.
