Bauer Bantam Elite Tournament Wrap Up

The Bauer Bantam Elite Tournament wrapped up on Monday with an exciting 6-3 win for OHA Edmonton over Delta Green at MSA arena in Abbotsford. Despite being down 2-0 after the first OHA Edmonton was able to claw their way back thanks in part to a two-goal performance from forward Tanner Scott. St Georges Prep School took home bronze with a 6-4 win over BWC academy.

Many players had strong showings and the tournament All-Star team consisted of;

Oasiz Wiesblatt – Calgary Bisons

Jason Spizawka – Yale Academy

Bowden Singleton – Northern Alberta Extreme

Joshua Niedermayer – OHA Penticton

Daniel Hauser – Edge

Jordan Gustafson – Ft. Saskatchewan Rangers

The tournament MVP was the captain of the championship team, Keaton Dowhaniuk.

The first incarnation of the Bauer Bantam Elite Tournament paved the way for it to be the premier early season bantam tournament in Western Canada. The well run and well attended event showcased all the top teams that the West could provide and featured high end hockey all weekend long.
